Outlook 2010 client: MS Exchange Connection Status is "Connecting"
This is using high CPU. I do NOT need to access the PUBLIC FOLDER. How can I disable this?
Thanks

Are you sure that it's having trouble connecting to public folders? Have you properly published the Availability service, offline address book and other web services?

I am using Outlook Client 2010. This is connecting to Exchange Server 2003.
The main issue is lsass.exe starts using high CPU.
When I ctrl + Right click on the icon on system tray and select 'Connection Status', it shows the 'Microsoft Exchange Connection Status' dialog box. The entries for 'Directory' and 'Mail' Type have 'Established' in the Status column. But the 'Public
Folder' type entry has 'Connecting' in the Status column.
I believe this 'Connecting' entry is causing high CPU for lsass.exe. I am just a outlook user and I don't use PUBLIC FOLDERS. Can I some how tell the Outlook 2010 client not to connect? Or remove this entry from this dialog box?
Thanks and appreciate your intesent in this subject and offer to help.

Hello SKSaha,
In Exchange 2003, a lot of Outlook features are based on public folder, such as Offline Address Book, Free/busy information.
To troubleshoot the Exchange performance issue, we can use the performance monitor tool and refer to the following link to check each related performance
